Great experience start to finish. Clean and professional. Taking care of our group of 12 was nothing for them.

We took 2 rafts and 1 canoe for 11 people. The canoe was easy to control, but rafts were to light and flowed with the current. I must say I enjoyed the raft more than canoe. We also had an incident where we got stuck to an overhanging branch and water gushed in the raft and we had to jump in the river.

Kayaking:

We both camped and rented kayaks from Pine River Paddle Sports during July 2017. Both parts of our trip were really outstanding.

This is a great camp site. I took my 7 y/o son to camp there one weekend in the middle of August. It was busy but not packed. The camp sites are somewhat close together but separated enough that they provide a fair amount of privacy. Each site has a fire pit, trash receptacle, and most if not all sites have a potable water facet. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. There is one shower stall that you must pay, with quarters, to use, so bring plenty of quarters. There was only one sit-down toilet, which I thought might not be enough during peak times, but I never had to wait to during our trip.

Terrific quiet campground. Each spot is quite large and plenty of trees between campsites. While we’ve only stayed there this one time, I didn’t see any camping spots that didn’t look fine. Also there isn’t electricity to the sites, but there is running water at most sites (all?). They also have a nice setup with the fire ring where they have a grill portion that you can cook on or you can flip it over so it isn’t in the way of the evening fire. They also have secure garbage at each site, making it easy to keep thing cleaned up and secure. Bathrooms the first night were incredibly clean, but did get a bit more messy as we got towards the weekend. Shower was very nice, but you do need to pay in quarters for the use ( but money well spent ). For more “things to do”, they have a terrific frisbee golf course ( get a map at the office ) and a fun hike from the campground over to the pine river.

What a nice river trip. We went memorial day weekend and it still wasn't super busy. The staff was helpful and easy going, shop was nice. We paddled to Low Bridge, about 4.5 hours with plenty of stops to stretch our legs, have lunch, snap some photos etc etc. Really clean and nice river. Again, not a ton of people when we went. Way better then Platte for families. I really can't say enough about the river itself. Just absolutely beautiful.

All in all it’s a great spot and strong suggested. The owners seem very helpful so if you did have a problem ( we didn’t ) I’m sure they would be more than willing to help out.

We rented two kayaks for a 5 hour trip down the pine. They did a great job in setting us up and even giving us some tips on kayaking the Pine as it was our first time on the Pine. The shuttle system works a little differently where you drop your car at the destination spot so that when you are done you can just jump in your car and take off rather than having to wait up for a shuttle to arrive or waiting for the “top of the hour” pick up. This worked really well and was a nice change from most outfitters. The pine was a terrific river and also challenging enough to keep us quite busy during the trip.

I'm giving it a 4- instead of 5-star rating is because there was a loud music festival going on while we were there. This festival was located on the property immediately to the south of the campground. The music played until 11pm at night. I suppose if you like country blue grass music, it might not bother you. But I found it to be somewhat of a nuisance, especially considering that this campground advertises itself as a "quiet" campground. The staff should have warned me about the festival when I made the reservation. However, overall I had a very positive trip, and I will return, although next time I'll ask about the music when I make the reservation.
